assuming you're also in the UK? if so, internationally, bbc.co.uk (which, like their other domestic services, is ad-free) redirects to bbc.com (in the UK, it's the other way round). the international version (like, say, the global feed of the BBC News channel) has ads

side note, but why is the audio example an mp4 of all things? there's no video so surely mp3 or something similar would be better fitting

Ubuntu is still pretty widely used for a Linux distro?

i had a perfectly good Air 3 essentially die on me because the lightning port wore down and the hassle of getting it fixed was outweighed by getting a 5 with USB-C. same thing with my Mini 2 before that. touchwood, all of my USB-C devices have lasted perfectly well (including a Switch that is older than the Air 3). USB-C also puts a lot more of the stress on the cable, which is much easier and cheaper to replace, and (as pointed out in the event) the switch means you can use one connector for a wide variety of devices. i've long owned Apple devices (certainly iPads) and i'm only annoyed they took this long.

are you trying to suggest that the tories are "promoting leftist social values"? considering their mediocre at best treatment of minority groups, [citation needed]

also one of their most controversial bills would lead to "illegal" immigrants being sent to Rwanda

skewed American perspectives aside, I genuinely fail to see how anyone would interpret them as anything left of centre-right

considering their other actions (including requiring voter ID despite very few cases of voter fraud in the last election - a move which just so happens to favour older voters (who are more likely to vote for the tories) and which harms younger voters (who are more likely to go elsewhere)), I think they do

we are currently under a right wing government whose media friends smeared their only real opposition as... a dangerous communist who would destroy the country. their main opposition now are copying more and more of their policies.

they are not, in fact, communists and are pretty far away from ever being left of centre.

Their comments seem fine to me? They pretty clearly explained the reason for their dislike of the name - if anything, their ability to do so concisely should be praised

1. That seemed to be a pretty obvious typo, no need for the snark

2. Why did you feel the need to bring gender into this

3. The singular they has been used for centuries, see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singular_they

"PWAs are essentially dead"?!? They haven't replaced native apps for sure but I think it's a pretty major stretch to call them done and dusted

Is this about the skin? If so can use the old skin (Vector 2010) if you create an account/append ?useskin=vector to the end of your URL; if not, I'm curious to hear more.

A considerable portion of the UK population lives outside London, and a lot of areas aren't necessarily the wealthiest in the world - meanwhile, with companies like Samsung and Google providing decent mid-range devices at much more affordable prices than most of Apple's lineup, they tend to do pretty well here.

I will, however, point out that from the statistics I've seen Apple has roughly half of the market share, with Samsung at about 30% - a pretty decent lead.

I would be very surprised if this was the case - the WMF doesn't prohibit alternative front ends in any way, and it doesn't seem to do anything they'd be upset about (unless it allowed people to evade edit blocks, but that seems incredibly doubtful); if anything, surely they'd welcome a project focused on protecting the privacy of its users?
