In some cities (in western countries) you can't travel or do internet banking if you don't have the right app. Are you coerced? Yes you are. That is the same thing here. But you don't see "security experts" complaining.

Normally you can't run code in kernel as Administrator. You can only install signed driver. So if you BYOVD (bring your own vulnerable driver) you load signed driver then run your code in kernel.

Good question. When I used WiGLE few years ago , i wanted to know if there was 1. free wifi in my area, 2. possibility to find geo-location of router from bssid, and 3. if there was local community wifi network. 1. get linux apt-get repository if you need software while offline. Whole thing has 70-80 GB.

2. get some HDD space, for sneakernet style sharing.
