Are you using Obsidian? Check out [Smart Random Note](https://github.com/erichalldev/obsidian-smart-random-note) or [Advanced Random Note](https://github.com/karstenpedersen/obsidian-advanced-random-...)

The former lets you "random note" search results, so you could query the tag and then random note it. The latter allows for similar customization of the random note feature.

Both believable and a total bummer.

There's obviously no solid counterpoint to cost — if it's too expensive for a user, than it's just plain too expensive.

For those for whom $10/mo isn't too expensive, there's now an alternative that's better than Google. And for that, I'm happy.

Are these available to watch online anywhere? Would love to check them out.

This is so fun. Thanks for sharing. Does anyone else remember the 6-episode TechStars TV series for Bloomberg from back in 2011? I'd love to rewatch that, too. https://vimeo.com/27175079

Substack is an email newsletter tool, not a blogging platform. It never claimed to be a blogging platform. In fact, these "dark patterns" are it telling you exactly what it is: an email newsletter platform.

Google also just added new SKUs last year related to multi-region storage buckets, too. I wonder if we'll start to see similar price increases from AWS/Azure. Usually the cost of tech trends down, not up.
