In an email from Adobe, they said "While we have been reducing our investment in XD, we will continue to support it." which means Figma has won. XD will be killed once people have switched to Figma. They didn't pay $20 billion to kill an app that's used by more people than XD.

And it's actually cheaper... for $4.99/month you get an InCopy subscription which includes Adobe Fonts. That's the same price as Typekit was before Adobe bought it.

On Windows I find it hard to remember random letters for accessing menu items. On macOS when a menu is active I can start typing the name of an item to go to it, which is easier for me because I remember names better than random letters. For frequent commands I learn the keystrokes.

Apple and Microsoft have also been removing support for PostScript fonts, so this is not just Adobe making this move. The entire tech industry is moving away from this old tech. I won't be surprised if support for EPS files (embedded postscript) gets dropped eventually.
