* only when you’re outdoors with good line of sight and only in geographic areas they allow.

I've seen some logs where a bunch of random ips were hitting a client's search endpoint feeding what looked like user questions to it. Of course none of them returned anything useful but it was causing a lot of strain and even causing the site to go down (gotta love wordpress's stock search).

I'm guessing the training companies are taking real/synthesized user queries and trying to distill what they can from site searches.

Also just as confusing. Shouldn’t take away from the point though. Both can be bad names.

And they’re still on cnbc daily saying rates need to go down to save the us. There’s a guy on right now saying rates need to be lower to save the ai bubble.

Solar doesn’t produce that much waste either and that was the point. Just because you don’t see the nuclear waste doesn’t mean it isn’t sitting there somewhere. The person was acting as if clean energy is dirty via its waste. For the record I’m all for nuclear - it’s insane we’ve regressed so much and not invested into more. But it’s also insane we’re not taking more advantage of green energy where we can.

Yeah like what do they think the people porting doom to everything possible are thinking?

And the person you replied to probably doesn’t realize spent nuclear fuel has really no where to go other than long term storage.

People keep making this analogy not understanding that trades folks will use the right tool for the job, not just whatever is newer / more advanced. Air nailers exist but hammers are still used. Drills can screw in screws but screwdrivers are still used. You wouldn’t use an electric drill for a lot of jobs. People will also try to equate it to an electric saw vs hand saw, but again time and place for both.

Why should a human read it? And by extension why even bother than if it’s just for machines?

You can but it’s a lot slower.

I leave my phone connected 24/7 and don’t notice any downsides. Only have to disable it on some networks when traveling to make awful captive portals work.

Lot of forums would even solve it by having anything goes sections.

It’s also just pretty obvious ai slop.

I guess you haven’t seen some of the agentic stuff?

It’s really bad on smaller artists that had moderate vitality on TikTok. Or at least it’s easier to spot since they have smaller catalogs. Encountered some on Apple Music the other day that outright had the artist listed and according to Apple it was from the artist.

IMO they need to focus on the scam side more than the AI side.

But Amphetamine has an option to end when an app closes. I’m just so confused why everyone using ai is reinventing solutions that already exist.

That seems trivial for an llm to provide.

Did Github ever do anything?

Could also say you’re a California resident and get your data too. They’ll probably just ignore or say no if they’re being that shady.

And for an amount that low it would be automatically approved and cost photobucket a lot more. Only real way to punish companies for doing this is
