https://devarist.com, an app for keeping a daily work diary. Another "scratched my own itch" app built specifically to do what I needed but it's been building a user base quite nicely over the last few months. I recently added Slack integration so that you can work with your diary from within Slack.
I also practise Inbox Zero. The other thing I do is make a daily list of things I MUST do that day in Devarist (www.devarist.com), everything else is in long term storage, jira, email etc. If I find my mind wandering I review the list and get back on point.
Nice work Tim. [shameless plug] it is similar to what I built at devarist.com except that I'm more interested in the daily scratch pad than encouraging a journal, because that was my itch. It's great to see someone else building a similar product though because it means I'm not completely crazy. Good luck with it.
