The article does say that he’s already given away this amount of money since the founding of Craigslist 30 years ago. From the sound of things he’s always actively doing philanthropic work, but I could be reading into it too much.

The key distinction here is that the temporary workers would presumably be people who are in federal custody and currently housed in ICE facilities. The temporary housing isn’t the issue.

Serious question – what’s the grift?

I think this looks cool as hell. The only thing that obviously sucks about it is how big it is. Admittedly I didn't really jump on the VR/AR hype train years ago so I don't know what's possible today. This headset gives me some serious uncanny valley vibes and kinda freaks me out which no other product in this space has ever done.

Heh funny you mentioned the iPhone 13 mini. I just got a new phone and picked the iPhone mini. It’s by far my favorite phone since the iPhone 5. It’s also one of the cheapest new iPhones you can get. Like buttons on a dashboard the iPhone 13 mini is far and away a better product (for me).

Maybe I’m dense and I couldn’t draw this conclusion — were those properties always available but we’re never documented? If that’s true it seems crazy to me that Microsoft couldn’t just say, “Hey I know everyone is mad about font-face not being respected. Here’s this property you can set and all is well.”

I wonder how educators are handling this. When I was set to graduate high school a decade ago we spent a portion of our home room hour planning our collegiate futures. I think I may have been the exception -- where my advisor stressed that we had to do something. Too often I hear that, "college is the only option." I personally never experienced that, but I wonder if educators are stressing that 4 year universities aren't the only option, just one of the many options. I think, with the lack of skilled workers, people can do really well with a vocational degree in a trade. Then again, that type of work is much more physically demanding than my job as a software engineer.
