15 mins of walking or exercise. I did 2 hours of walking 15k steps and it's barely moved my required cardio load to 10 and I need over 200 weekly.

Did you have your launch approved? So did you follow the process?

His manager would the first line manager, and really not a decision maker at G. it possible that his manager would put him under a bus after getting called out by legal. Dunno.

But regardless once escalated by legal there have been a process to mitigate this, so either the director fired the OP or someone higher. The direct manger would be not really in the decision making here. There is a clear path to release open source at G, and it seems it wasnt followed. The OP claimed that its confusing, but it isn't - usual the launch tool to get the approval and you covered your bases. If the OP didnt have all launch approvals after 7 years at G, wow thats on him. If the OP actually had all the launch approvals then he has an actually big case against G.

Launch approvals are for all product - internal and external, it usually requires L8+ (Director) levels approvals.

>Sure it's about politics, but it's also about tech.

Can you point me how was the tech used in this article about *tech* and politics. I didn't see anything.

>I claim there might be a pattern of supression.

Do you want to count how many times words like nazi, genocide, terrorists appears in comments section about Anthropic vs here? Do you see the difference?

But I am going to point to https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html

Blackcore isn't a startup. It was already covered everywhere in the news. So there is no need to post yet again.

>Sure someome will argue things here get flagged cause they are political, but I don't buy that.

Are you saying that this isn't political? It's literally about politics. The comments section will be predictable and it will be flagged for that.

Do you disagree?

I dont think an EO can do that, so at most just executive agencies. Meaning the 2 other branches can ignore it.

> Apache licensed models are already 1000x smarter than siri and strongly outperform anthropic, openai and google in the 8-128GiB of RAM range

smart is a weird term, gemma4 is an amazing omni model better than qwen3.6 for non coding tasks (as for all Gemini models). For Apple Intelligence gemma4 makes a lot more sense.

I don't have 5090, I have 395+ and I use for gpu assisted OCR, embeddings vector, speach to text and etc. I have a freedom of using a large library of various models and I can fit a lot in 128gb.

I don't use it for coding, I have $20 Gemini, $20 codex, etc.

But then I got the framework board for $1700, now it's $2700

I mean I haven't done much in c# recently, but few examples that c# ecosystem is the subpar in quality

Kafka client library sucks, I mean it was a nightmare to make it stable and there were a few of them.

Pdfbox library

And many other libraries. If you use c# Microsoft libraries only - then you are golden. outside of that its really bad.

At this point I switched to Rust.

>I feel like paying your most experienced employees to quit is exactly the opposite of what Microsoft needs right now.

I always felt thats the deal. But not a lot of people left the company when one was given, and we have rolling buys out now so people are trying to time buyout + a new job offer.

Yea, they are even worse. They would sell out in a sec once goverment is going after them.

That's dual use infrastructure. Its also used for military and goverment purposes, right? The same as China providing weapons components to Russia, masking them as "civilian".
