I think you should detect the commercial using audio fingerprinting or perhaps video and then mute the commercial for its duration. There aren't that many active commercials, so it shouldn't take long to cover most of them. Bonus if you had intra-commercial finger printing so it knew to say, mute for only a few seconds.
I'd also like to see a visual mute that puts a black box over 85% of the screen, so you could unmute it once you recognize the background is from your show.
Brand logo remover would be nice. So you could watch sports and have it blur the company logos on the sports areas
I've never met him just can't stand how bitterly angry he is / appears to be. He has the anger of someone who is recovering from a beating and plotting his revenge. I don't know if that's how he is normally, or a result of getting thrust into this right to repair. But I'm not going to spend my time watching a jaded, pissed off guy.
Posting here for anyone who might not know this: you can click and hold on most YouTube videos and they will play at 2x. I find that to be a good test at whether the host is communicating effectively. If I can understand them perfectly clear at 2X they are talking too slowly.
My English teachers told me to get to the point, don't start sentences with "and", and every sentence should support the central theme. Apparently authors think they can make their book thicker and more authoritative by wasting time describing the color of something I wouldn't even look at in real life. But I notice and don't fall for it. Sorry you don't value your time.
I gave up on reading because the authors want to spend a considerable number of pages telling me the color of the buttons on an imaginary character's outfit. They have no such right to waste my time with (or even worse, charge me money for) that.
That's not relevant though. What is being demanded is that a new term that means "less than purchase" be used, making it overtly clear that you are only renting. A pointer indirection to the real word doesn't count.
I would love to contribute towards getting Bluetooth keyboards working on freebsd. They have the drivers and most of the core working, even BT mice work, but keyboards aren't there yet.
the drawback for me was the startup time. it really seemed to hang out on the splash screen for quite a while (just as NT4 did, and ofc they were from the same core)
Especially so with digital public TV. its absolutely unusable. and now they can't stand that people want to share sports broadcasts, so they are updating it again to add encryption. I can't believe anyone watches it.
