the thin phone is supposedly first step toward the iPhold foldable. they will probably slam 2 iphone air sandwiched together for the fold so this is the first step i guess
can someone with experience doing this shine some light? i have been offered this type of role from engineer to 50/50 (as i feel it) or 80/20 (as they say) IC and managing. in a series C startup. i feel like it’s never good to context switch. i never seen a tech lead or manager who did well both roles at once. am i crazy to think that the tech lead or manager role should be 100%? either go the IC track or the manager track. but i lack evidence to substantiate this idea of mine.
It’s amazingly good, but it will be scaringly good when there will be a way to include the entire codebase in the context and let it create and run various parts of a large codebase autonomously. Right now I can only do patch work and give specific code snippets to make it work. Excited to try this new version out, I’m sure I won’t be disappointed,
Edit: I just tried claude code CLI and it's a good compromise, it works pretty well, it does the discovery by itself instead of loading the whole codebase into context
Having grown up in Italy and moved to the UK a few years ago seems that in the U.K. we are much less prone to talk to strangers. In Italy oftentimes people who just banter with you even if you don’t know them (at the grocer, the elevator, public transport). Whereas in the UK everyone seems to be minding their own business. You can see it yourself. I noticed it particularly every time I go to Rome and catch the underground as opposed to londons. For instance I can feel the nervousness of people going up and down London Underground opposed to the laid-back and slow pace i instead feel in Rome. I might be just my impression though
