I thought it was a good write up but did anyone catch the ending comment?

> We believe artificial general intelligence will be created within our lifetimes, and likely within the next decade.

Maybe within our lifetimes (if you are young) but I find it highly unlikely within the next decade.

You’re wrong, Rails is still very much alive. Also the idea of x language developer is outdated, as long as you know the language and framework and have done more than nothing with it there’s more flexibility these days especially for senior engineers.

37signals will never have trouble hiring, they are so well known and respected.

You need senior Rails devs? I could apply. What's the company?

Hi, you mention remote but I didn't see it on the engineering roles. Are there any remote software engineering roles for a US based engineer? Thanks! Big fan of Ada by the way :)

> Knowing that the average typing speed of adult humans is a measly 40 wpm gives me more faith in the failure of our species.

Uh, that we can even type is in and of itself a wondrous thing. Enjoy your miasma.

Ridiculous, your company will be nothing different in ten years if it even exists. Best of luck though, prove me wrong :)
