I object!

The dashboard clearly says 89.15% uptime!

Who says nines need to be leading?

This offers little because while P != NP, in most practical cases it doesn't matter.

NP problems gets solved with heuristics every day.

Wouldn't noise be a concern?

And what is the failure mode?

Competent government wouldn't do this either... ...also why I think it won't last.

Doubtful it'd hold in court; this admin would have to show that it's not corruption, because we'd all assume otherwise.

The specification doesn't have to be.

But yeah, writing specs is usually harder than reviewing the code 4 times :)

First time murder is typically gives around 12 years in Denmark.

Sentences are not added up. So yes, trying to shot a police officer will definitely get you decent sentence -- it's not hefty by American standards.

Probably not illegal, questionable ethics. Which could have consequences, but probably not.

Regardless, this is enormously dumb. If you want to search and arrest an activist who crosses the line, you make it as boring as possible.

No deadline, no product.

Shipping is very important, sometimes more important than what you ship :)

This is really cool, like tinkercad, but like tinkercad it desperately needs fillets.

Ideally also ability to drag faces like plasticity.

Every seen a pride parade?

I'm not sure what kind of special torture you'd employ to make people display that kind of enthusiasm :)

The administration has a credibility issue, most certainly when it comes to rule of law and corruption.

Mythos being drummed up as a cyber weapon is not the same as it being a weapon -- and treating it as such is just dumb.

Yes, it may find vulnerabilities, but "find" is the keyword -- whatever it finds was already there.

And don't forget, that sometimes day dreaming about going to space, might be more fun, than actually going. It's not like you can touch it anyways.

My point is: Remember to enjoy your dreams. And 99% of the time let them be just that: "dreams".

The games from 15-25 years ago are also great, especially the ones still available those are the good games.

CS 1.5, OpenTTD, AoE2, the likes..

Fancier graphics doesn't make games better. Gameplay, stories and jokes do.

Moreover: what is the upside?

Spying on employees is not free. If you want to spend serious resources doing it, there has to be an upside.

I loved last.fm when every tag was a custom radio station..

It's not anymore, right?

It's weird to me that courts don't at-least attempt to review if the conduct was in good faith and plausibly reasonable given the facts know at the time.

The idea that officials aren't personally liable for mistakes made in good faith isn't bad. But somehow the US tends to produce a lot of cases where good faith requires a lot of faith :)

There has been a lot of HIV going around, I have yet to hear reports that it's gone airborne.

But, yes, I would rather not have an outbreak of ebola.

Sue the ISPs for enabling piracy?

If their license is void, then distribution is illegal, right?

How is there no enforcement paths?

If Josef really wants to go after BambuLab over AGPL violations he can do what the music/movie industries did: have them blocked at the ISP level.

Cease and desist for all servers outside China. Block traffic at ISP levels.

Unlike various pirate websites there won't be a hundred copy cats to also hunt down.
