TikTok most definitely filled the void left by Vine. Vine was short video, usually chopped up, lots of one person skits. That type of content was not popping up on Instagram or Snapchat. Snapchat video would disappear, Instagram video felt more like a typical Instagram post but with video, or just throw away stories.
TikTok came in with short videos, collaboration tools, audio sharing, and has a realness that Instagram does not.
Also funny enough many Viners lived together in the same building so they could collaborate. We saw the same thing happen with TikTok.
I would also suggest networking. Find whatever meetups are going on and attend and just talk to people. If there is a conference that is relevant volunteer and that gets your foot in the door. Also don’t be afraid to ask friends for help they might be able to get you introduced to people that are looking to hire.
I block out time, set a timer and put everything away.
Then I read till the timer goes. Sometimes it's easy. Sometimes I just stop and zone out. But I don't stop to check my phone or whatever else could distract me.
Someone created two apps. Amytal would scrape Steam IDs to confirm what leagues the players were in. Bazbar would have a bot in IRC for #findscrim and allow us to chat with people.
Both apps could be run by sending commands from ingame chat.
That’s great to hear. It’s a very good organization and one I’ve been thinking of volunteering with myself. Also congratulations on your business. That’s something I’m trying to figure out if I want to strive for.
If minimum wage gets raised by 2.5 and it creates job loss wouldn’t that have to potential to still not effect people because they would only need one job instead of 2.5?
