Can you be competitive with DUV? They are pushing it to the limit, but will it make sense?

China still doesn’t have EUV. How will they make competitive chips? Is TSMC allowed to make them?

Anywhere else in the world it’s possible to do this orders of magnitude cheaper.

But yes, it’s because of “options” and not because of greed.

Some group of people tries to extract as much money as possible. You can call this capitalism. I think it’s a big scam.

I expected an article about resetting an Xbox device.

I want only their model, the rest is just garbage. I used Opus with pi.dev, worked perfectly fine. Fast and does exactly what it needs to do. Claude Code is slow, sluggish, buggy. Why are you forcing me to use it? Why should I pay an order of magnitude more to use pi.dev? That doesn't sound reasonable to me.

That’s exactly what I mean as well. Of course behind startups the basic idea is to innovate. But this gets lots, because most of people just want to make money. VC-s don’t care about innovation, they care that the money they put in, comes back.

It’s not evil, it’s just how money-oriented society works.

It’s very simple. Everbody just wants to make money.

Startups have nothing to do with innovation or making the world a better place.

It feels like it’s about creating the bubble, inflating it and cashing out before it bursts.

You have to think longer term.

Today’s 1Gbit is tomorrow’s 25GBit.

It takes some time to actually install it. So, better to plan for the future.

…and 640kb RAM is more than enough.

The article didn’t say free market is bad in general, it said it doesn’t work for internet infrastructure.

“America is best country in the world” thinking is very visible from the comments.

Yeah, it has super bad internet, but because it’s too big, Europe installed copper wires later, 25Gbit is not really that much in Switzerland, etc.

Millions of reasons, but understanding that the current capitalist system doesn’t work for internet infrastructure.

I feel zero guilt to pirate movies.

Free in a sense that I don't have to pay extra for it (comes with the machine) and no extra fee for new versions either.

It's also interesting to see that after 30 years Windows NT is still a decent OS/kernel. Of course the rest of Windows is just pure garbage.

It's hard to justify to pay for an operating system, when Linux and Mac OS is for free.

Oh yeah - typical American thinking behind it. Everybody knows English and only uses one language.

I had a friend working there - he didn't make that much in senior roles.

I don't think they pay you that much in Berlin. Why would they? All other companies pay less - no competition what so ever. Paying >100k is already super good, so they do probably around that.
