the site is just a debug view for now, the app is much nicer.

set a nick / avatar if you want. use the posting widget on top to post stuff. all data is distributed between the users of this app.

something fun to try out maybe, a dart VM kernel (runs on any platform) to connect to a moderator (distributed, tiny, lightweight, anon forum) instance at omasome.fi (our testbed)

sill.dill runs on port 6776 and spits out json.

you can use curl to post new things and reply to things at omasome. if you need attachments, grab a free pinata.cloud account and curl your keys in locally to post pictures on IPFS.

sill.dill tries to be a fun distributed server where you can inject your own vue / cycle.js app to talk to the rest of the network.

take it for a spin!

something fun to try out if you're interested in distributed networking and data solidarity. With atacama you can post and attach images and comment on them. The stuff is distributed across clients, you could think of it as social media on top of bittorrent.

bug reports / questions / feedback very welcome!

Give this little android prototype a go. You can post pictures and add comments without accounts, ads and bullshit.

very clear illustration of bandwidth usage there, thanks for sharing this one.

related / unrelated, plugging my project that is not a ssb replacement but takes the best bits of it and turns into fully anon distributed forum called moderator. @moderatorium on twitter in case interested, take a look.

for the open source point, https://staltz.com/software-below-the-poverty-line.html might be a good place to start, illustrating how dysfunctional foss is these days.

thanks for the feedback. It's based on a tangle protocol called thicket. moderator is designed for collapseOS / 8bit computers, crypto in unfeasible so losing attribution is the next best thing.

off tangle hosting is now done on IPFS, hypercore might be a better choice. Or writing a separate, simpler distributed blob store.

for monetization, SAAS would be an obvious choice, build your own client on top of moderator API and do what you want. this stuff in underway, there will be a dart / elixir api in the next few weeks for people to build their own stuff.

I need to add a few more faq items to answer your questions, people are probably wondering about similar things. Doing it right now.

thanks again for the feedback!

small preview of moderator that is an anonymous forum that runs on super low spec devices. it's completely distributed and hosts none of your data. take a look.
