I love retro UIs, and this one even more, because of course it reminds of Turbo Pascal, which was so cool.

Great job!

It seems the OP agrees with you, and he's proposing a method for how to do so using agents.

Especially given the hardware has no moat and there are a zillion IR transceivers on Aliexpress. It's not a good market.

> ad-block whack-a-mole diagnostician that is being done as open source community efforts now: NewPipe for mobile, SmartTube for smart TVs etc. All you have to do is update them once in a while

On the contrary, this gives me hope it's possible to create value for people even when you compete with hundreds of free Youtube playlists. This is good!

I bet the two sources won't agree on what values go into the denominator and / or numerator of their effective tax rate calculations. It can be as simple as the 3.5% being a calculated rate on revenue rather than profit

For inspiration, check out Ben Katz. He worked on the MIT Cheetah and electrified the Boston Dynamics dog

https://build-its.blogspot.com/2019/12/the-mini-cheetah-robo...

He designs and machines parts, designs SoTA electronics like motor drivers. Applies robot dynamics, material science, control theory

A user provided location cannot be trusted for geofencing purposes. A GNSS (GPS or other) is needed sooner or later. This is a legal requirement for sanction and regulation enforcement (US, if not others).

While humans have historically mildly reduced their working time to today's 40h workweek, their consumption has gone up enormously, and whole new categories of consumption were opened. So my prediction is while you'll never live in a 900,000sqft apartment (unless we get O'Neill cylinders from our budding space industry) you'll probably consume a lot more, while still working a full week

I'm impressed you could train a dog to cleanup toys! It's hard enough with humans.

Heat pump output temp is lower than a furnace's. Thus, it needs to move more air to inject the same heating power.

In Europe, where the traditional working fluid is usually water in water radiators, this has been a big issue in popularizing heat pumps. Radiators sized right for hot water from electric or gas furnaces were undersized for heat pumps and their lower output temp. This required expensive replacing of the water network and radiators.

Heat pumps in new builds are popular for heated floors, which are great.

Any context for this quote ? Google didn't find anything behind people using it in their email signature.

Fiber has a latency advantage in real world usage. In the common scenario of multiple computers and users sharing a single connection, if one of them does something latency sensitive (gaming or video chat), he will be bothered a lot less by others heavy bandwidth use on fiber than on ADSL, or in a lesser measure cable.

That's because heavy bandwidth use (downloads, video streaming) will saturate a low bandwidth link and packets will drop. Or bufferbloat will increase latency without dropping, which is the same for latency sensitive usage.

With multiple video streams going on in the average household being a common case nowadays, it's nice to have enough bandwidth.
