This "esoteric" garbage is the catchphrase of white nationalists globally.

So it's about as esoteric as white nationalism is. For example, members of the current US administration know it/believe it.

I missed those bits. Touché. I'd definitely place it in the category of scam/fake app, then.

> The App Store listing is pretty clearly a scam and the app is clearly pretending to be my app

What leads you to make these allegations?

As far as I can tell, it is not pretending to be your app or claiming any affiliation. The app doesn't even do the same things your does. It's just named the same. It seems a pretty obvious app name.

They probably just came up with the name and didn't bother to Google for prior art. Do you have a trademark on the name? If so, that should squash it from the App Store. Otherwise, I think you're hosed.

That said, it's at best a pretty low quality app with atrocious in-app prices.

After some sleuthing, the app appears to be ClipGrab.

Legit website: https://clipgrab.org/

App Store link to alleged "fake" app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/clipgrab/id6761039605

As far as I can tell, the App Store app doesn't claim any affiliation with clipgrab.org or the open source app. It doesn't even do the same thing.

This doesn't really answer your questions, especially as AI is permeating the field, but:

They acknowledge your project under the "Prior art" section of their README.md and the list is MIT licensed. Seems fine to me?

Great original idea, BTW. Wish I had known about your extension prior!

Federico Viticci went into a little more detail about what this means on MacStories, Mastodon, and the latest episode of the Connected podcast. It is also more approachable for laypeople.

Be sure to visit the links from the story, as well.

> I'm equally confused why you think that claiming that being in favor of "open borders" being a common perspective wouldn't generate reactions from the type of people holding the views that you mischaracterize as that.

I'm having trouble grokking your statement, but "open borders" is not a pejorative. It's a belief that people, more or less, should be able to freely flow across borders and live where they like.

Again, I am speaking from a US perspective. It may carry different connotations in other countries. It's too prescriptive to apply the same immigration policies at a global level. There's too much nuance and geographical differences.

Depends on your specific needs. What are your needs and use cases?

The M4 Max has more GPU cores, but the maximum amount of memory you can get is only 64 GB.

The M5 Pro, on the other hand, is faster at single core, has fewer GPU cores, but can go up to 128 GB memory.

Rumors are that the Mac Studio is getting updated to M5 in Fall or Winter 2026, if you can wait.

> Who supports "open borders"

It's a very prevalent idea among US immigration activists and left-leaning people.

> what do they support exactly

Generally speaking, that people can move anywhere, if they want to. This article/interview/book covers it in more depth:

This is essentially what the IoT Enterprise LTSC edition is.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-...

Aside from that, there are various tools and deployment files to automate a stripped down Windows 11 installation.

I don't really use Windows except on my gaming PC, but I like winutil:

https://github.com/christitustech/winutil

But there are better declarative tools out there that generate a stripped down installation. Despite it's reputation, Windows 11 is fairly modular for a commercial OS.

What makes Berntsson a fascist? What makes the Örebro Party fascist?

(I am a Mullvad user, but I am not Swedish, or familiar with Swedish politics, so I only have Wikipedia to go from.)

From a US perspective, just up until a decade ago, it was a sentiment that left-center perspective that people like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton had.

I was caught quite off-guard by this new "open borders" perspective. It doesn't seem sustainable at all.

It's purportedly cross-platform. The documentation leaves a lot to be desired, but it is described more here:

No, because trench foot is something not treatable by vaccines.

However, we did receive a lot of training in how to avoid and treat it, along with better equipment. Does that count as a “vaccine”?
