All clouds / serverless will end up like this. It's a matter of "when", not "if"

After several days of usage, Activity Monitor will usually shows that "WindowServer" is using 6 GB of RAM.

Yeah, 8 GB RAM does not cut it anymore. At least until Apple start fixing the memory leaks in MacOS.

This is business as usual in Indonesia - even very expensive Dell computers came with FreeDOS instead of Windows.

An example = https://www.tokopedia.com/nescomputer/dell-poweredge-t440-xs...

In some kind of quantum space probably.

We still don't know so much, yet we claim so much.

Hey, just want to say THANK YOU for empowering a lot of us - we created so many banners, flyers, etc for a lot of for-good activities.

When I first find out you can print a single desain over multiple pages (banners), my mind was blown. Me and my friends then went quite wild with it.

Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Was confused because everything moved in 2 seconds per frame on M2 Firefox.

Switched to Chrome - suddenly everything is butter smooth.

Congrats on an article very well done!

So many people missing the point then and now.

Blog was, is, the easiest way to showcase your skills and capabilities.

I'm unable to count how many times total strangers suddenly contacted me and proposes collaboration, projects, job, etc

That's why after 23 years, I'm still blogging.

"Maintain a Website" - this really means "publish" (your works)

Because even if you do tons of very good work - if you don't publish it, then it's as if you're doing nothing.

This is where a lot of non-profits fail.

A lot of them are doing very, very good work - but because they suck at documentation & publication ; then people doesn't know about it at all.

Public policies are designed to work on populations, massive number of people - not anecdotal evidences like these.

And taxing private transportation / providing incentives for public transportation does not only benefit our health, it also bring other benefits; global warming issues, dependency on fossil fuels, etc

"According to the study, putting a specification in place before development begins can result in a 50 percent increase in success, and making sure the requirements are accurate to the real-world problem can lead to a 57 percent increase"

Thank You Captain Obvious

So when the project spec is unclear? And/or changed during project? Abandon ship??

Or, utilize a methodology that's capable in adapting to mid-project changes....?

Hmm.... I wonder....

Note: Exposing your database directly to the Internet / external access should always be considered a bad idea & and as a last resort.

GPUs have ECC, it can be enabled anytime, see https://discourse.codinghorror.com/t/to-ecc-or-not-to-ecc/37...

As soon as I worked with high-load servers in the 90s, it's already clear that ECC should be the default.

Intel's marketing ploy on ECC is very desctructive and have costed many parties a lot of wasted time money & resources to handle problems caused by non-ECC memory ; and Linux Torvalds is absolutely right in roasting them for this.
