It works for me too. Simple yet effektive.

I don't know. Is there really a signal here when it comes to humans? It seems most of the arguments come from one study? Would be interesting to hear those here at HN that are smarter than me comment on this one.

I absolutely loved this game. I still think about it often, the story and the characters. I wish there was more games like it.

Interesting read!

In my youth I experimented with hallucinogenic drugs. Having shared hallucinations are very easy. It often just requires that someone give you an idea of a hallucination, or someone tells you what they see, and your brain will make you see it as well.

Maybe people know these things make you see small people, and then they are primed to do so.

My dream is to be able to run again. Please. Let me run a 10k at least once more in my life. To feel that stillness and freedom and calm that sets in when the brain start going to hibernation after about 7km.

That would be quiet something to feel that again.

I want to:

- Hone my motorcycle riding skills. Curves, breaking and the rest.

- Learn and manage to do some basic home renovation stuff by myself.

- Learn the basics for keeping a garden.

- Start playing table tennis

I don’t know! Think I’ve seen a headline somewhere, but can’t remember where. Quick search should help you :)

To me, it’s anecdotal, of course, but I have same sense of being in control over alcohol intake as food intake.

Basically makes it much easier for me to avoid binging.

I don’t agree. They are not saying that.

It’s observational. They are saying they see correlation.

Your suggested mechanism is plausible, and likely, of course, but that might only be part of the effect.

I think it’s still valuable findings and can help direct further studies.

I am on GLP-1 (very low dose), and I’ve found that it seems to help me moderate my alcohol consumption as well. Maybe some thing like that could also be contributing to the effect.

I have this exact problem, my colleague does not. I also noticed yawning helped. I gave my old AirPods to my ex :( I miss them.

The application that we are working on uses thousands of platform threads today (split over a handful of applicationservers). It’s a humongous banking system. I have been working on performance related improvements for years. I am now curious if these new virtual threads might be beneficial for us in some places. Need to read up on them a bit more

Every time something show up about anything related to Java, the discussions turn to this flame war about what language are better or worse than Java. Why can’t we just discuss the article at hand?

In this case, I’d love to hear more from experienced Java developers, with existing code-bases, who have tested these new virtual threads out.

It’s not hard to find people who want to write Java. I do it all the time. We have been hiring and writing Java code for fifteen years and have not seen a decline in the interest.

Obsidian ticked all the boxes for me. Used it since when there were more bugs than features and always knew it would be my go to tool.

I just tried. It does at least not work for protect and it does not work for the IOS apps.

If you are using CK, Protect and/or the iOS app, it seems that you need Remote Access (a.k.a. Cloud) enabled for authentication.

This might just be a law-firm fishing for people willing to be plaintiffs when they sue. So, this in itself might not mean much of anything. This might just be a lawyer who read the news and though "Hey, let's see if we can find enough people willing to sue!"

They are triple the cost of the UniFi stuff. So not really a drop in replacement.
