Hello, My name is Nasir Sharaf, I am currently looking for a software developer engineer role, or any adjacent role such as MLOps, Data Engineering, Data Science, etc. I have a master's in computer science and roughly 4 years of experience as a developer. Prior to that I was an energy engineer for 3 years and I also have a bachelors in mechanical engineering. I'm willing to relocate for the right role in the right place, I'm willing to work hybrid or remote and I have been applying to roles outside of just the Detroit area.

Its not far along, but I'm trying to expand upon the ideas of Lisp into a new programming language I call Grasp. If Lisp is a list processing language, Grasp is a graph processing language

I've been thinking for years about what the programming language of the future might look like, and with a much smarter assistant to bounce ideas off of in the form of Claude, I feel I can start working towards implementing some of these ideas. This is an overview and the first of hopefully a series on building an extension of a Lisp called Grasp. I'm going to graduate from my Masters in computer science this summer, hopefully. Previous to that I was actually working as an energy engineer and got my bachelor's in mechanical engineering. My research has been in the cybersecurity of industrial control systems, but I'm open to work outside of that field. I'd especially be interested in either data science/data engineering roles or robotics roles.
