Presumably it is a hard problem to identify good scientists. And many people want to make a career in academia, so the competition is "brutal".

Isn't it completely unreasonable to assume the income distribution would have stayed the same if rich people had done nothing?

For one thing, population size has grown.

But apart from that, let's look at an example, like Ford. So Ford workers earned well for a while. If rich people had done nothing, would Ford still be building the same cars as 50 years ago, only more of them, employing more people, all with the same good wages? I don't think so.

Their job was not to make AI more ethical, but to protect Google from government regulation. Seems they fundamentally misunderstood that.

So what would be the appropriate compensation for a dance move? Abd who should pay? Everytime you want to dance, sum together the value of your dance moves and pay to the global dance move organization?

Or should there be dance watchers at every venue, and present you with a bill at the end of the evening?

Should there be an app for that? Could the Apple watch detect if you do a Lindy Hop, and advise an automatic donation to BLM?
