I've been working on Moments (textmoments.com). It's a journaling app that you text instead of open.

I always had the same problem with journaling. My best thoughts always came to me at inconvenient times like when I was on the subway or with friends.

So about a year and a half ago I hacked together a journaling solution for myself. I set up a Twilio phone number, a server to receive the messages, logged the message to a txt file, and committed it to a GitHub repo. It was extremely simple, but it worked surprisingly well for me. The friction was low enough that I actually used it every day... and I had perfectly timestamped journal entries with full version control.

Over time I wanted photos and voice notes, plus a better way to visualize everything. So I rebuilt this it into something more robust that other people can actually use.

And with as many suburbs as there are in Boston, the 'greater Boston' area can mean any number of things. I'll get Boston queued up!

I've been working on a site that helps you find in-person work in NYC that is actually convenient: https://walkablework.com

After working on a remote startup for a few years I felt very isolated and that the best startups are going to have a strong in-person presence. Now many larger companies have started implementing return to office policies that unfortunately don't make sense for a lot of employees. I wanted a site like this to exist to give people the power to find hybrid/in-person work that they don't mind commuting to.

Let me know if you have any feedback or want to post a job!

I’m not supporting Seattle yet but would love to add it in the future! If you go to the website and click on the “Add a Job” link in the nav bar, there should be some instructions for sending over information about the job

I cofounded a remote startup in 2021 that I ended up leaving after a few years because I found the remote culture to be very isolating and I didn't feel like it would lead to a successful company. Many companies have started implementing return to office policies that unfortunately don't make sense for a lot of employees. I wanted to build this site to give people the power to find good jobs, companies, and teams that are convenient for them. Let me know if you have any feedback or want to post a job on it!

I recently left a startup I had cofounded after a few years because we were a remote team and I came to the conclusion that we weren't going to be successful without working together in person. I wanted to make this site to help people like me use location as an early filter to find good companies and teams to work with. Let me know if you have any feedback!
