Depending on the market, market prices can be decided by a very small number of transactions that set things. Probably true for houses in Spain (limited supply) and foreign wealthy buyers (very high potential demand)
There is no way the 6x yield increase per cow did not negatively affect the taste, nutrition, and quality of the milk. Indeed, most of the "milk" you buy in large industrial countries barely deserves the term - it's got no taste or subtle flavor. It's even worse regarding derived butters and cheeses.
Yield is a great and easy thing to optimize becuase it's easy to measure. And if you increase yield at the expense of taste at suffiently slow rate, the change is impercetible to the customer. Happens slowly over decades so that a nice glass of milk is now like drinking dirty wash water. And a nice fat steak becomes ground up crickets and synthetics.
Moral of the story. Get your own low efficiency cows.
something like a white paper with a mood board, color scheme, and concept art as the input might work. This could be sent into an LLM "expander" that increases the words and speficity. Then multiple reviews to tap things in the right direction.
I've found using these and similar tools that the amount of prompts and iteration required to create my vision (image or video in my mind) is very large and often is not able to create what I had originally wanted. A way to test this is to take a piece of footage or an image which is the ground truth, and test how much prompting and editing it takes to get the same or similar ground truth starting from scratch. It is basically not possible with the current tech and finite amounts of time and iterations.
Has anyone tried to see the net value generation of YC. Total revs - costs - money invested, all discounted appropriately. It’s been around long enough that the true net value created can be assessed, without resorting to BS valuations.
feature request: please let me change the voice. it is slightly annoying right now. way too bubbly, and half the spoken information is redundant or not useful. too much small talk and pleasantries or repetition. I'm looking for an efficient, clever, servant not a "friend" who speaks to me like I'm a toddler. felt like I was talking to a stereotypical American with a Frappuccino: "HIIIII!!! EVERYTHING'S AMAZING! YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL! NO YOU ARE!"
maybe some knobs for the flavor of the bot:
- small talk: gossip girl <---> stoic Aurelius
- information efficiency or how much do you expect me to already know, an assumption on the user: midwit <--> genius
- tone spectrum: excited Scarlett, or whatever it is now <---> Feynman the butler
I wish stripe or some company would create a zero fee credit card that is truly equivalent to using cash. The wealth transfer from cash payers, merchants, and some card users to other card users and the cc companies is one of those gross injustices, a small and persistent leech on society. Surely there’s a way to do cc transactions for near zero? What is the point of all this tech otherwise?
