I think you are missing one of the fundamental thing to create a startup: the team. You can't do everything by yourself, even the idea, you can find it during a bbq with some of your friends that will become your parteners.
Great introduction to ML algorithms. I would also like to recommend the Coursera course taught by Andrew Ng for a practical starting up in this powerful field.
