spinrite from grc.com works on SSDs. It can speed them up, from what Steve Gibson says. I don't have a way to measure my SSD speed, so I can't provide evidence.

Great advice. I would add to get these certs onto your linkedin profile, and to create a portfolio for employers to view. However - be advised that RPA doesn't usually pay very well (but might be more than you're making now), but it can get you into a position inside a company to move to a web or other developer position.
