Also for moving to the US, I don't know if you have any insight on the easiest pathway, would I be right in saying that getting a job in FAANG+ type company and L1B internal transfer after a year is the easiest way to do it?

A limit has to be set as to the time spent per candidate from the company's pov.
I think the fact that leetcode needs to be studied incorporates work ethic/motivation/resilience alongside IQ. Also, at some stage in the interview process you have to interact with people which will expose your social skills/emotional intelligence to some degree.
