I can’t stop. We can stop it.

So let's add more???

> I'd love to be rid of all of it, but that's not how the world works today.

Why do we think the human made world is out of our control? Learned helplessness? We could stop this. We do not need Satrlink.

Starlink will fail. And this will be more likely the more satellites they put up[1][2]. Or the more wars we get in. It will not be hard to cause a major destruction of all Starlink satellites [3].

We do not care where we get our dopamine hits. The most likely place is the easiest, and right now, for teens, it is social media.

I am afraid this is setting kids up for abusing drugs and alchohol in the future.

Don't you get it? No one is on those sites because they are not addictive. It is like trying top tell an alcoholic to just drink mocktails.
Noaidi

> Yet everyone keep choosing it despite being addictive.

Let me fix that for you. Everyone keeps choosing it because it is addictive.
Noaidi

> i just dont think addiction by itself is something we should be fighting.

People who say this do not understand how powerful biology is. Nor do they understand that they are putting people with certain genetics more at risk.

"Choice" to people genetically prone to addiction is a trap. So unless you want to figure out the polygenetics of addiction and then have everyone tested for their genetics so they know there risk I will say I strongly disagree with your viewpoint, because there is no informed risk and you are promoting suffering with our beliefs.

But what about Graham Platner?

Yes, save the asset holders, damn the peasants. even Trump said he wants to see housing prices go higher.

These people do not care about you. You need to hate them more.

Now you know why there is war. We have war because the U.S. is failing. Just look at the reversal of the 10 and 30 y bonds over the last 20 years. All the free money that was given to the oligarchs killed our economy.

Yes we do, it is called imperialism. Now with a sprinkle of senile Fascism.

I know a few people who could have used some of that $1 Billion. I mean what is Musk and Altman going to do when they need to be bailed out?

I am homeless currently living with schizoaffective disorder (and OCD) by myself because no one wants to take care of people with mental illness so I have zero to lose.

My nephew died by suicide, I tried my mother and my brother tried. A whole family of pretty evident genes.

> You have control over your habits

If you have to change your habits because a secret system is watching over you it means they are already controlling you.

You cannot hide your bank account, where you drive, what you buy, and on and on and on.

And all I need to get your DNA is pick up a cup you drank from or go through your garbage.
Noaidi
·4 ngày trước·discuss
Honestly, you don't need someone's genetics for this to happen. They will find out more about you by scraping your socials and spending habits and driving habits.

I think this whole fear is over blown anyway. I am in a genetic out group (schizoaffective disorder and yes my risk is genetic) and the benefits of getting my genetics run twice out weighed any risk that might have befallen me.

I do not get the point of this. Psychedelics work by activating the Serotonin 2A receptor.

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-025-10061-7

This is pretty settled science. So what is the big deal about taking a drug that affects a receptor? Will it cure anything? No. Because the body resorts to increasing receptor density for the drug.

> Anything that kills yield drives up the cost of food.

You are making an assumption that "organic" = "driving down yields"[1] and that yield is the most important aspect of a food.

Yes, IMHO, he is overly dramatizing "mild gastritis" and I think he is doing it so all of us sit here yammering on about him like he is some genius.

You know what? "Will share all" except my money is more like it. Because just getting $50,000 from this guy would remove all the stress from my currently homeless living in a minivan life and take away the majority of stress that is a trigger for my schizoaffective disorder. So you know what? Eff this guy.
Noaidi

Yes, that was it for me too. Because anyone who understands neurobiology understands how psychedelics work and wouldn’t bother with them.
