Well I flagged the overview as inaccurate and now it no longer appears under that search. It's possible other people were doing the same thing though. As a general rule fanon (fan canon) wikis should probably be delisted as sources.

Personally I think these features at their best can be interesting to look at, though you have to take them with a grain of salt, and they aren't the magic sauce that makes search 'better'.

Maybe Sama tweeted/ex-posted "her" because that was a trending topic related to the demo? I guess everything has to be some grand conspiracy nowadays.

It's fluent in understanding and writing in different languages so it has to be based on one of the more advanced models. In my tests it even recognized Morse code and Braille.

I don't think it's that prompt specifically, just it's too long.

I've seen that happen for non-Fox News URLs. Google probably added a filter to Gemini that removes URLs that no longer work or are 'hallucinated'.

> Anticipating potential free speech defenses, the lawsuit argues that the special "has no comedic or creative value absent its self-proclaimed connection with George Carlin” and that it doesn't “satirize him as a performer or offer an independent critique of society.”

How is commenting on current events not "an independent critique of society"?

I went back to the video and it said Gemini was "searching" for that music, not generating it. Google has done some stuff with generative music (https://aitestkitchen.withgoogle.com/experiments/music-lm) but we don't know if they'll bring that into Gemini.

The problem is you have to prove intent to build a legal case. If the person holding a banner doesn't know whatever they're advertising is illegal then they wouldn't be liable. A case could be made if they're informed it's illegal and they continue anyways, but that isn't likely to happen.
