But judging by the title, I was hit by this about a year ago.
I signed up to YC to tell you this:
After half an hour or so on their chat, I managed to make them waive the fee.
I'm pretty sure their practice would be deemed illegally misleading by Danish consumer laws.
What worked in the end was threatening to file a complaint with the "Consumer Ombudsman".
