I love seeing new ways of interacting with computers. Using head tilts to scroll sounds awesome!

Well there are a lot of these airplanes going around the world all the time, and very seldom does anything like this happen. I just don’t want people thinking that airplanes aren’t safe.

Why do you think podcasters give you recommendations for mattresses?

Well, this isn’t very typical, I’d like to make that point.

Look, the windows not supposed to fall off, for a start. These things are built to rigorous aeronautical engineering standards — cardboard’s out, cardboard derivatives, no cellotape, no string. So chance in a million, really.

And to be clear, the plane that the window fell off was flown to safety. So there’s nothing out there but birds, air, wind and clouds… and the window that fell off.

Of course! Just take the code you've taken the time to understand and rewrite it so that it's in a form you have to grok all over again!

Yes! I yearn for the day when central daylight savings time is 1:00:00:36 behind eastern time, but standard central time remains offset by 1 hour exactly (except for leap years, which are obviously 1:00:00:36 offset all year round).

I got a mechanical watch with a 24-hour dial, and I see it as “mid-morning”, “late afternoon” etc.

It does annoy me that it’s harder to find 24-hr dials with noon at the top and midnight at the bottom. They all put midnight at the top for some reason.

South Korea sounds like Ireland. Ireland has a constitutional “firm will” to reunite the island, and people living in Northern Ireland (a part of the UK) can get Irish citizenship.

They called one of the planets “Kelowna”, a town in BC a few hundred km away.

Depends on the population they drew the study sample from.

There’s a lot of teams out there who had to find a way to deploy agents to keep their jobs while working on problems like this that didn’t need them.

A big part of music is being able to share it with friends at a party, sing it at Karaoke, see the performer live, follow their story etc. so that I can be a part of some kind of culture.

I’m not looking for an emotional painkiller to keep me subdued and isolated.

You want to say that there shouldn’t be standards because tailwind has limitations?

I’d love to hear what you think 1926 was like for the average person.

Often, you are better off with a single standard environment rather than one with a hodgepodge of locally optimal solutions.

Agreed. It seems like a large and growing artifice sitting on a foundation that is constantly shifting.

This may surprise socialists, but you can set up a pharma company yourself right now that makes all its research open.

I’m glad _someone_ is working on bringing the windows experience to Linux!
