There are 450 million Snapchats sent a day. Their engagement is insane and so is their month over month growth. Snapchat has created a new form of communication that a lot of people enjoy using. If we use other startups as benchmarks (Tumblr, Instagram), the valuation does not seem far-fetched.

Black History Month may have not been the best example, but I think there is value in highlighting success of minorities in a field where there aren't as many minority models to look up to.
I don't think your argument holds weight. Do feminist activists make themselves complicit in sexism? Does having a Black History Month encourage racism?

How is PayPal being unreasonable? A person without a SSN has received $200,000 in their PayPal account. I would be surprised if PayPal didn't freeze that account.

Sure, touchscreens aren't going to be your main form of input in a laptop, but I wouldn't say they are stupid. Once you start playing with a touchscreen laptop, you'll begin to use the touchscreen occasionally, and in these moments it's really nice.
For example, when I'm browsing the web in my bed, it's awkward to use the touchpad to scroll, so I'll just reach out and scroll like I would on a tablet.
I don't know if it was because I was running out of disk space, but taking photos and texting became absolutely terrible on my iPhone 4. iOS 6 made it even slower.
