Just look at FB, Twitter, Tumblr. We are customers to them because we're clicking on ads, interacting with the site, and driving traffic. If those sites were a store, and we walked in and looked around, would we be considered customers or users? Customers.
I think that this article represents the need for digital locks. So far, no one has disrupted this space and there is a HUGE market. Think of everyone who lives in an apartment/house in the world. Now take only 1% of 1% of 1% and that's going to be a very large number of people who would signup.
I actually believe that Siri does the best job of joining a party. Imagine in 5 years all the questions you can ask it. It's going to be like inviting the most intelligent person to the party, rather than the uninvited guest.
