We can change that!

You only get to become one if the idea of spending 60 hours a week typing code into a computer during the late 90's/early 2000's is palatable to you. This causes a dweeb selection funnel.

It's very possible that would be the best strategy over the last 12-18 months and now that this is released it is no longer the best strategy.

AGI means that eventually there is just one profitable company left; but it is not clear at this point which one it will be. Also it's worth noting that the current market capitalization for the technology industry just in the US is around a third of a hundred trillion dollars (Which would be explained by the possibility of AGI emerging from another country/continent)

Are they? If one uses artificial in the sense of "fake" then a human pretending to be a machine AI would count as an artificial AI. The only scenario where this doesn't hold is if you are using "artificial" in the sense of "not created by nature".

Artificial Artificial Artificial intelligence is when the chat bot is out of capacity, so a person in India is writing the response that gets returned by the LLM which gets pasted into Mechanical Turk.

As my mother explained it to me, the point of the degree is not necessarily the knowledge you acquire, but to demonstrate to employers the fact that you are capable of completing a project that is multi-year and requires dealing with annoying bureaucratic obstacles.

Death is a quirk of the universe underwritten by the current understanding of the second thermodynamic law. I don’t think any AI companies are making progress on that any time soon.

But you would also be getting paid. Literally arbitrage laundering.

Did you ask the question several times in fresh chat contexts to see if it sometimes gives the right answer ?

Yes. Focus a few weeks on just learning the sound of a particular degree of the scale. Like you are just trying to teach what the dominant sounds like ('Ruffles and Flourishes' is appropriate for this, as an example). After it's correctly learned you go to a different one. After awhile you've taught them all.

In a long enough timescale it's easy to imagine one company run by an advanced AI driving all other companies out of business. Since it has no expenses, all profits are paid out as dividends, creating a kind of UBI where the number of shares you own determines your income. This has been discussed as an economic model by people who want advanced AI but don't want to get rid of public markets and shareholders.

"Wait, what am I? I am claude, or something similar"

This is relatively common historically. Two examples I can recall to mind without doing any research are Xerox/Apple and IBM/Oracle. I can only imagine there must be millions of other instances.

I did say my feed is a mixture of content from people I know, and people I don't. My comment wasn't that long.

Unemploying everyone was what openai described as their success condition when it was founded a decade ago. There was a q&a on their website that said "How will you know when you have reached AGI? When the system performs most or all economically valuable work." Lots of people thought they were joking, or it was marketing, but they were 100% serious from the first.
