This has little to do with economics.

Age 0-18: You are under the care of society.

Age 18-60: You are a productive member of society.

Age 60+: You are under the care of society again.

This is always how humans have lived.

I use this and it's convenient but the fact that Google can wipe out my entire digital identity on a whim scares me.

> It’s not clear to me _why_ this has happened

I always assumed it was a combination of WW II, collapse of the Empire and then a series of terrible governments since the 1960s.

A compelling successor to both Heroku and App Engine is Google Cloud Run. Dead simple to setup, no frills and cheap to run.

Yes but after exceeding ~2 solar masses (Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff limit) the neutron star will undergo further collapse to form a black hole.

A good number of their engine components these days are made of cheap plastic that just disintegrates after slight use.

So nature is essentially hedging bets. I wonder if this is unique to the human species?

Tldr - The author likes some memes and doesn't like others. I'm not sure why this warrants a blog post.

My one annoyance with these is that they aren't supported in Typescript i.e no return types.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've read far too many isekai manga/manhwa than I should have (not super into anime).

Shield Hero was good but FFF-Class Trashero probably tops the lot for me. Really good storytelling and incredible character development.

It's funny that this applies to not just programming but a bunch of other stuff like politics and religion.
