We're a small, funded, tight-knit team based in NYC. We're looking for creative, passionate new friends to help us build an incredible mobile experience.
Working on a simple, private, short-term mobile group communication tool called Fast Society.
It automatically connects friends who are going to a concert, on vacation, or just out for a night of drinking over SMS and has a ton of cool functions to communicate during and share content after the event.
"In four years, Michael Arrington has gone from knowing relatively little about the Internet..."
"In 2000, he co-founded Achex, an online payments company, which was acquired the following year by First Data Corp. for $32 million. He also worked at a startup in London, founded and ran two companies in Canada, and was chief operating officer at RazorGator, a ticket reseller."
After taking time off, a friend suggested starting a company and, in an effort to educate himself about the Internet..."
So he didn't know anything about the internet but somehow started and sold a web payments company and was later COO of an online ticket company?
I can see your point with a thousand+ dollar meal, but wasting that much ink and more substantial stock just to show me how much my coffee cost doesn't necessarily improve my user experience. A better solution for simple transactions: no receipt at all. Reminds me of Mitch Hedberg :
I give you money and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario that I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut.
