Have only had a quick look at it, but it looks very nicely done! Out of interest, did you use AI to assist with development? If yes, what percentage of the code would you say is AI generated vs conventional?

I don't think they're attacking you, but suggesting you read more carefully. The information provided is correct and clear, but you need to let go of your own biases when consuming it.

I personally prefer the M to the B. I guess as an engineer, noticing the units comes pretty naturally.

I found the same with a number of LLMs playing scrabble. Absolute gibberish coming out of them. Almost better off getting it to design a proper scrabble engine, and then play against that!

No doubt that AI is useful, but not generally useful for everything.

We live in a world where, for certain topics, people believe whatever narrative suits them at the time. Facts seem to not matter too much. Brexit is one of those topics.

Exactly. A marginally higher image ISO at one location vs a lower ISO at another could potentially have a similar effect, and it would be quite difficult to detect.

The finance minister was paraded round the streets of Nepal in his underwear and badly beaten. Do you consider that controlled?

Some are more controversial than others. Some also seem to enjoy controversy more than others.

If you want to stop the brain drain from more worthwhile areas to less worthwhile areas, you need to at least pay better starting salaries in the more worthwhile fields.

Otherwise, you'll end up with potential Einsteins playing with spreadsheets in investment banks rather than discovering relativity, simply because they wanted a bit of disposable income.

Stupid, yes, but that's the situation we're in.

Comfortable money + marketing hype keep it that way unfortunately.

If governments really wanted to prioritise innovation, they should consider giving a banker's salary to a research scientist.

You see this with grown up devs too. Many of them have only ever learnt to code with a full suite of build tools such as web pack, grunt and npm. They seem lost without these things and only a few really know what's going on under the hood. The best devs I've worked with are feel comfortable getting things done even when those tools are taken away.

You're a top notch hacker, from high to low level. Not many people can do what you do. I know this is a hobby/fun project, but I really hope your current employer/clients appreciate and reward you commensurately!

Yes indeed. So many influential people use their influence to sow the seeds of the future they want in the public's mind. They do this by prophecising the future, and their followers do their best to make the prophecy a reality (often subconsciously).
