A game where you build and defend forts with other people.

Fortnite sort of started like this, but the single player mode was a microtransaction abomination that was more akin to a excel spreadsheet than a game.

The beta of battle-royale Fortnite had a lot of this organically at the end of the match -- teams would each build towers and attack each other. Was a blast, but quickly was micro-optimized into kids using their reaction time to instabuild crap and shoot each other while making windows. Really awful gameplay.

Does Valve really have 7 figure bonuses? That's quite impressive if so. Wonder what it would take to get that -- do you have to launch/invent a new, successful microtransaction store? Can't imagine it's easy based on that twitter thread.

American companies always have bored lawyers on staff, and lawsuits are just day-to-day activities for them. Suing costs the company virtually nothing, while defending against that suit as a private party can be ruinously expensive. The company can almost always afford better PR than you can, and relying or hoping your case going viral and the company backing off due to negative PR isn't going to help you sleep at night.

It isn't fair, but that's how it is. Don't poke the bear anymore than you have to. All you have to do is personally anger one executive and they can go after you.

Pay more, else go out of business. Why do I, the American taxpayer, need to subsidize already heavily subsidized farmers?

"If you use a device or software that uses SQLite or Chromium, it will be affected."

If I write a hello world C program that does some sort of IO with SQLite, it will be vulnerable to remote code execution? (if this turns out to be true, that will be quite impressive!)

Guessing something was lost in translation there. Sounds more like someone found a way to get code execution if you can inject certain data into SQLite, then found various applications that expose this functionality remotely?
