What's frightening is that you almost ran a script in your terminal for a captcha.

Good thing you have Gemini though.

I would not claim Steam users are "mostly" any of those groups, frankly.

It's just a bit strange how 'everybody' doesn't seem to include me - based on my own experiences gaming over 20 years not lining up with any of this silliness - as well as others in this thread.

In any case, I don't think "not wanting to make assumptions about people based on little to no information" really counts as "very rigorous standards".

Clearing up confusion about a demographic by assuming things about other demographics seems like a bad idea.

Is the implication here that the people shown in that video are trans? How do we determine that?

Do you have any actual data to back this up? Because it doesn't really line up with my experience.

Do you and GP understand that it's not 1998 anymore and that many, many different types of people from all walks of life play games?

I'm very curious what you and others think the average Steam user really looks like.

Presenting this as something that all or even most public speakers do is a bit wild. Have you got any evidence for that?

There's a pretty big difference between a random report submitted via email, and, say, a close friend of the maintainers letting them know a serious vuln was found and they should login.

This comment is a little light on the reasoning for why you were permabanned.

When it comes to movies/shows, I generally just trust the listing; there's no real risk, particularly as I'm not a quality whore.

For games/programs, I'll mostly just check the download page to ensure it's from a verified, trustworthy group.

Mostly though, I've never felt the need to be as paranoid as some people suggest one must be when torrenting; despite doing this for 20+ years, I've not had any incidents since I was about 12 years old.

Everything I've ever added was kept.

It is actually mentioned on the Wikipedia page [1] - and of course, you could add it yourself if that's not enough.

Maybe because they're not comparable.

After a certain point, you get a sense of which release groups to trust or not.

Not to mention you can just open the download page from within qBittorrent.

Is there any reason to believe North American cars wouldn't be even worse if there weren't unions?

I'm unsure why the other comment is dead. You've seemingly deadnamed her and used the wrong pronouns.

She apparently passed away after becoming homeless due to struggling to find work because she was trans.

As an autistic person, it's nonsense like this that has made me dread every interview I've ever done.

> And it also seems like Albertans are the butt of a lot of jokes from the other Canadians anyway.

This is hardly my experience as a Canadian. They're not Newfoundlanders, for crying out loud...

> "Have you actually done this before?"

I would have got up and walked out at this one, personally.

But at least they let you know how working there would be during the interview :)
