Hey, I can see where you are coming from but this is a really bad idea. You'll be sabotaging your application/life.

~90% of the hiring managers looking at your suggestion (me included) will not see any value in this. Having somebody working at minimum wage / under market value (besides unethical) creates all kinds of inequities and weird work place dynamics. For me it would not be worth it.

And the 10% who would actually entertain the notion: would you be ok working for people happy to exploit employees? That's setting yourself up for a burnout.

The best way to guarantee the things you want to guarantee is to do due diligence yourself and research the place you are applying to. Look for red flags. Be critical.

If you really want to change jobs, ignore the '300 applicants per vacancy' situation. I bet 80-90% of these are thrown out after a quick screen. If you can put together a good package, you have a chance. You would be surprised with how many bonus points candidates get in my company just for being 'normal'. Age definitely not a minus. But first, take care of yourself! Best of luck

To be fair there is a history of women who have kids not progressing (pay scales) as fast as men or childfree women. But seriously, girls who Code?

I'm done at Girls who Code. What's next? Boys who do the dishes? So condescending.

I would say that the fact that his country is at war with a super power is more likely to correlate with the psichotic personality of the leader of the super power than with him being a comedian. He has inspired loyalty and drive in his people which is all / as good as a general could do now

In my experience as a recruiter, yes: we know if a candidate applied before. Previous applications have some weight. If a candidate applies very often without changing anything in the application and ignoring previous rejections, it's a red flag because it suggests poor judgement. But if someone reapplies months/years later with an updated CV and improved skills, or skills better matched to whatever is being asked, there is nothing wrong with that.

I'm a communications manager. Also, a woman. Bonus points?
