Many years ago I worked at a startup where the CEO was a former CS professor. While at the university, he worked with a somewhat legendary guy who ran the CS school's IT infra. Somehow wires got crossed in recruiting while sourcing the candidate, and another guy with _the exact same name_ who _also worked at the university in IT_ but for a different school got hired after what must've been a perfunctory interview.

The startup had a lot of other problems, that one was the most awkward. It folded not very long afterwards.

We'll continue supporting sideloading and linking to PCs
I see this as a tacit approval of the thriving network of pirate games, something like the Adobe Photoshop model of proliferating and becoming the de facto platform.

Start with a realistic but not "end times" scenario: something like an extended power outage (2-6 weeks). Be ready to take care of yourself and people in your household. If you've got any leftover time/energy/skills/resources, organize with your neighbors. Are there any medical professionals in your neighborhood? How about people with useful skills for rebuilding (ham radio operators, electricians, civil engineers, etc.)? Look for CERT programs in your area, they're a good start.
