Yeah, but what is the likelihood of seeing them from those locations? I was checking an aussie thread about this https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/9xv617m6

I'm guessing you can find the best spots on a trip to Iceland, Finland, Norway, NZ, Aus

Look at that, the northern lights! Gotta go to scandinavia or alaska to see them

And the great lovecraftian darkness

On another note, is there any archive footage of these NASA pictures of space with insane good quality?

>Why an "extreme" amount of freedom?

As dangerous as this sounds, with guidance, I think it could be done. Government and public institutions love to lock the environment into something safe but useless for further learning and adaptability

Tech can save you from a bad educational environment. I think kids need extreme amounts of freedom with guidance on what are the best tools to be used for learning. From visualizing linear algebra and analytic geometry problems to piracy. If anything, the teachers need to improve their tech literacy.

There is no way to be done away with tech on school, but some balance and freedom must be achieved.

Why people bother with all of this to lock the environment into some kind of corporate nightmare? Why not allow some freedom for the worker. I don't see the appeal, it feels like a claustrophobic cage

So nice to see this here. The author's books are awesome resources for graphics and C++. It's a shame there seem to be fewer print editions available these days!?

> ASML doesn't quite do overnight orders for lithography machines.

I was not even aware of that, thanks for clarifying. I need to read on this.

Ultimately, I think there is a disconnection with reality between these CEOs and major fabrics such as TSMC.

> In 2025, both Ireland and Finland joined the ranks of European countries that have shuttered their last remaining coal plants.

Interesting, they mentioned Finland. I wonder how Norway and Finland fair using solar since they have rigorous winters with polar nights.

This is the same as saying that Russians are wild boars who only care about vodka, stupid wars, money and women.

Just for hiring someone from France?

> "Western social values" are a luxury easily abandoned when you can't afford your rent. Populist fascism is rising because people are increasingly desperate and there's no alternative because the centrists are united with the fascists to crush any leftist momentum.

I think this is the most important and crucial part of what you've said in here.

If you look, East germany former communists states were the biggest voters in favor of the AfD: Saxony and Thuringia. What I understand is that the left wing parties of today's society have forgotten about the 'conservative' socialism that focused on providing good education, food, housing and employment for the general population. Something that was always incorporated on conservative parties, like the CDU in Germany.

Following the disastrous political consequences of Merkel's 2015 immigration crisis, AfD entered the game with the fury from the German population. The alliance of the conservative CDU with the AfD makes a lot of sense.

I may be insane, but I feel there is always some kind of collective Jungian aura or desire among the general population, especially among the elders, for sane, conservative policies to control society and make life bearable. The writings of Jung are quite telling of this phenomenon.[1]

Even if China begins to take over much of the world's economic power, I don't think the rest of the world will accept Chinese culture in the face of Western social values.

The wave of fascism is already rising in Europe, but it is still very much under control. Like the AfD political party in Germany.

But the actual manufacturing foundry is TSMC no? And they create the whole software environment based on their chips.

Indeed, the market as a whole would be affected. But is not NVIDIA more of a software company than a hardware one? This bugs the shit out of me.

They are maintaining this astronomical growth through data centers margins from the design of their chips and all of that started from graphics related to video games.

You know, this is also the case of Proxmox vs. VMWare.

Proxmox became good and reliable enough as an open-source alternative for server management. Especially for the Linux enthusiasts out there.

Serious question, why watch this movie by Kubrick when you have way more interesting guys like Pier Paolo Pasolini?

If you want to see weird sexual pictures, might as well go all the way with "120 days of Sodom".

Or just go and see one of those documentaries of serial killers from the 70's, like Ted Bundy.

Instead of romanticizing all the way, I was clearly discussing about the bureaucratic chaos, discrepancies between articles in foreign languages and corrupt political environment that Wikipedia has become for beginner editors, specifically on articles related to literature, politics, and the WW2 atrocities.

Your argument is pure sophism with some attempt to hurt me personally.

You don't know me fully. Go throw your tantrums elsewhere.

> The law requires internet service providers to block reported piracy sites within 30 minutes. AGCOM insists that Cloudflare comply with these demands through its public DNS service, 1.1.1.1. When Cloudflare allegedly failed to do so, the regulator imposed a fine of over €14 million.

€14 million? What the hell is this desperate witch hunt on piracy lately?
