I got laid off a while ago and I’m privileged enough to take time to reconsider what I want to do. I’ve been learning how to sketch which supports my bigger passion- printmaking. I’ve primarily been doing linocut which is carving negative space into linoleum, inking it up, and printing it on paper. I’ve got a membership at a local atelier and have branched out into drypoint, kitchen lithography, and what I guess is called LEGOpress. I’m sparking a lot of joy working with my hands every day. I have been finding adequate challenge in honing my craft as I try to figure out how to draw/carve the images I see in my mind.
It's a good first draft. I do find it a shame that the HTML output is only div elements. I think a little accessibility would go a long way. I also can't select text in many places before some re-render de-selects before I can hit control-c.
It does perceptually, not intellectually. Obviously anyone can see that it's offset, but the perception is still smaller than it actually is. There's no easy marker to re-align and try to make a better estimate.
Let's take a step back though- why are the phones in this image offset at all? Apple made the image, it's explicitly for a size comparison, so why make it harder to comprehend?
I would think a few thousand peoples efforts could be better used to help keep society together than to stock food, water, seeds, and tools. Or if they really want to be a net gain for some FEMA scaled disaster, help everyone in their community have food, water, and sanitary supplies stored away.
It is. Legally you need to pay a license to use it and to get tech support, but if you never ask for support, no one is going around checking for non-licensed users. I roll the fee into my expenses when I use it for clients.
