I don't have a degree. I feel that not having it has cost me some opportunities. Someone once said that when someone has put in years to get their degree they want the candidates they interview to have done that work as well.
I started in the 8-bit days. So learned BASIC. Then learned assembly language for the computers processor. Then next computer learn changes to the BASIC and the new processors assemble language. But after a point more languages became available on those computers and eventually I had to decide which was best for me to focus on. Now I try to what there is I could be learning about and decide how much about each I should learn about and how deeply. Starting now I don't know where I'd start.
My wife has the Se based on the iPhone 5 and I have the iPhone Xs Max. When I look at her phone it reminds me of looking in the viewfinder of a digital camera. She likes the size and will stick with smaller.
I don't really miss the power adapter as I have so many USB power sources and I will never miss those crappy earbuds though I do miss the headphone jack.
yeah my carrier (Verizon) doesn't have good enough coverage for me to enjoy the full speed that 4G can offer so I don't care to pay more for 5G when it has little to no chance to meet the promised performance.
Austin is pretty pricey by Texas standards and San Antonio is on it's way up. Property taxes in Texas are what may surprise you depending on where you are from. I used to live in the Seattle area and property taxes there are around 1/2 of what they are in Texas. Neither has a state income tax and both have around the same sales tax rate.
