I am typing this from a 6 year old m1 macbook, and it is still going strong. I think even with the recent flaws of macos and instability, the hardware is pretty great, and if you don't like something, you can still hack your way through it. No windows for me, the only reason I used to rely on windows was its vast software array, reversing applicability and videogames. Now that good cross platform reversing tools are available, and I have migrated to PS5, macos just makes the most sense to me. I got it for 800 USD 6 years back, and it has already given me more bang for the buck.
At this point, AirBnB is too much of a trouble for a weary traveler. No worries of following arcane house rules, doing the dishes and praying to a non existent customer support. Better to stay in a hotel and call it a day.
Offtopic question : I went through their website, and I have no idea about blockchain. I have gone through the documentation and almost everything they are doing is possible without it as well. Cryptoproofs for storing data, smart contracts et al - not sure if it is different from regular encrypted deduplication done regularly with standard per hour/ per minute billing. Also, Siacoin for payment, not sure if it is the most optimal way.
I think I am missing something, would be glad if someone can point me in the right direction.
