Blocking tokens on exchanges, blacklisting addresses and threats of legal action? And silly old me thought that decentralized cryptocurrency was supposed to be the path of Freedom(tm) beyond all those centralized, coercive, fiat-like restrictions.

In the US, perhaps, but brick construction still predominates in many countries including much of Africa, the Middle East and India. Not coincidentally, all three also have limited supplies of timber.

The villa's homepage has an information page for public viewings, but states that "currently" there are none planned, and as far as I can tell that was written in 2008.

Many fish used for sushi, notably bluefin tuna (source of the ootoro tuna belly Jobs apparently loved), are not considered sustainable.

The Cockney version is "trouble and strife". Just wait until they find out what a Berkshire hunt is though.

One of many fun things is that most of the politically correct terms at the time ("retarded", "transvestite", "mentally ill" etc) have now become unspeakably offensive.

I just unsubscribed from the NYT. I originally signed up via the Google Play Store, so the process was literally two clicks in the app: choose the sub I wanted to cancel, then confirm. Done.

Of course, this isn't particularly useful if you signed up via any other channel, but it definitely makes it easier next time around.
