It's true it would be nice to keep copies for posterity, but it's not realistically possible to archive everything created for all time.
OTOH, state actors like the NSA should be archiving lots of things like this, because "you never know ...". But, unfortunately for us, a meme from years ago nailed this: "My computer hard drive crashed. NSA won't send me their backup copy."
This is a reason why USSR never adopted a end-to-end PAL like US did.
There's a lot of information that the USA only nominally had PAL. The military implemented PAL on orders from the President, but then set the PAL code to 00000000.
If you're logged in, all you need to do is click on the "9 hours ago" field of the comment. That takes you to the individual comment, fully visible. So it's only one extra click to read.
This unfortunately doesn't work if you're not logged in.
I'm not sure about "super-fast" since, every time I visit twitter w/o JavaScript, I'm forced to click thru the message:

And this annoyance persists. Click on a twitter link within the twitter website and you get the message again. And again. It's definitely a dark pattern meant to annoy you into enabling JavaScript.
