100% agree. Interestingly, the only politicians who talk about removing Citizens United or even just strengthening consumer protections are considered "far-left" in this country.
To be fair on your point about only displaying status when they need attention vs displaying everything at once- this is easily achievable with a bit of IF ELSE logic with most cards in Lovelace.
You are hitting on the fundamental difference in political views.
Half of this country believes problems are systemic and can be fixed. The other half believes they are a natural consequence of culture, race, and invisible flying creatures that tempt you to do bad things.
The only thing I could think to build on blockchain is electric utility metering / settlements data, but I fear I'd be laughed out of the room at this point
When I converted from Windows 7 to 10 I noticed that I started getting audio latency/glitches/squelches from my external audio interface- a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. The mouse would also sometimes hang. Doing some basic tests, the problem seemed to be coming from network drivers... but I could never resolve it. I wonder if the author's discovery has anything to do with the issues.
In my experience, if the dev wishes to be compensated in dollars, they also sell a commercial license, cloud services, etc.
