I came here to say the exact same thing. What a despicable human being Lori Stroud is. There is an utter lack of understanding by her that people other than American citizens are humans too.
She was ‘a bad spy’ as she put it as soon as she started targeting human rights activists, children, anyone who didn’t have violent agenda (like the governments that she worked for).
This part in particular makes me sick:
> “Some days it was hard to swallow, like [when you target] a 16-year-old kid on Twitter,” she said. “But it’s an intelligence mission, you are an intelligence operative. I never made it personal.”
If you can explain how to do something that others are finding difficulty in, it’s a. Arrogant and b. Probably not understanding it fully to say “just do X”
Can somebody explain to me how a PDF opened in, say your OS's default PDF viewer, could be harmful? Aside from you acting on some misinformation within it.
The casino, if they become aware of you counting cards/advantage playing etc will often allow you to continue playing because if you do win (these methods don’t always win you the game of course, it’s easy to make mistakes), then they can disallow your win for you changing the nature of the game. If you don’t win then no harm done, they’ll take it thanks.
I think there should be more regulation around such a large gatekeeper. It's a bad state of affairs where small businesses are beholden to one opaque company. Even more worrying if the small company offers a competitive product to one of Google/Alphabet's.
On the contrary, I think posing any questions of substance about life to that type of person would generate nothing more than a frustrating conversation.
That is a confused argument.
Firstly, the question of returning to the Old World is not what is being discussed, but rather whether it remains during a robot takeover or not.
Secondly, people left the UK and formed the United States not because they 'evolved' but because they wanted religious freedom (+ other lesser reasons).
Thirdly, by what metric is the United States more successful? That's a rather broad word to use for the comparison of two first world countries.
Lastly, yes I think tears would be shed, and I believe many tears were and continue to be shed for all the genocide you mentioned.
