- Your comments have more doom predictions than a Y2K convention in December 1999.
- You've used 'stochastic parrot' so many times, actual parrots are filing for trademark infringement.
- If tech dystopia were an Olympic sport, you'd be bringing home gold medals while explaining how the podium was designed by committee and the medal contains surveillance chips.
You cannot talk brand identity here. Most of the people here don't know what pays those big salaries. They think that clean code, scrum, pair programming, CI, CD are the critical points of a corporation.
Yes, I am arrogant. Because I read here from 2008, and I know some things.
Apple is just too big of a corporation to be adequate anymore.
This ad is a total f*k up.
Apple is build over the work and ideas of creative people.
This is the direct result of nepotism in a corporate ladder and design by committee.
The idea that prompting is a creative tool is utterly illogical.
This will result in a ton of mediocre synthetic crap for corporate presentations and porn generating.
Contrary to the trends in SV, dehumanization of creative professions will result not in productivity boost but in utter chaos and as a result will add more time loss in production process.
I never liked Sam Altman in his Y years, now I know why.
Even with the "blessings" from the "masters" in Davos/Bilderberg, a bad idea is a bad idea. Maybe this will push World ID as a result, but is it necessary?
The current trends in tech are not producing solutions for a professional problem. With rare exceptions, this looks more and more as removing of human input and normalization of a society ruled by AI at any cost. So sad.
Is this means that ChatGPT will be allowed to train itself on live data?
Give this invention more data and live to the people to optimize it for free?
Are we lost all the human instincts, collectively?
Please, stop. This EXCITEMENT you cannot apply as a Golden rule. You can use it for junior position, may be junior to senior transitions but there is no sane professional with EXPERIENCE and EXPERTISE that will communicate and show excitement in a natural way. It is not logical.
When you have 20+ career, filled with success and failures, from which you can learn how to see and seek BALANCE, the last thing on your mind is excitement. You tend to see the world with realistic and moderate lens. And this is not only good for companies, this is a golden opportunity.
Sadly, more and more I look at the startups as a kindergarten party with serious consequences. Some VC's are playing the game and some lucky kids are taking this as a validation for knowledge and expertise. Selecting teams with "cultural fit" and "excitement" to fulfill a hollow visions of "changing the world".
P.S.
I don't feel excitement. I consider myself a craftsman with a passion and deep love for my work. And your way of thinking is positioning you in the group of "thank you for your time" crowd. Automatically.
Congrats. Instead of thinking in the line of "Wow $99 for a config file with colors and fonts". My reaction is: So there is a premium market for this things. Good.
I will go further on VC funded companies. The Culture of Success is simple: If you are a founder, you have to be Perfect Fit, you have to design your idea around what VC's want to hear and this is working model.
One of the reasons that I never work with or for startups. Founders are rarely competent to select the right people, in most cases they lack experience in HR or Product Design, etc.
Bootstrapping is a detector for true products, you scale on a merit of real customer base not on some Valuable Idea for VC investment.

Lots of alternatives and with not so heavy price tag.
But reading comments here I regret posting my reaction.
Obviously the new age Apple users deserve everything that they get. I am happy that this company has nothing to do with me, and my office macs are not T2 and will run Linux for years to come.
Enjoy your overpriced vertically integrated shiny nonsense and don't forget to buy collectable ear cushions, only 70 bucks.

Yep you are right, I have a consumer choice. I just linked to high end audio product manufactured in Germany, where you cant use slaves to build for you on a thin cost margin and then sell on high profit.
People still don't get this thing. Its simple : Big Corporations are taking big profit by using China as manufacturing, China is not a democracy, China is not free market economy, buying products completely made abroad is killing off a middle class and financing oppressive regime of CCP. Big companies have enough cash to relocate manufacturing in democratic countries.
As a consumer, you can search for products that are made locally or with minimum Chinese parts.
Using public political positions for boosting sales and marketing. People today are buying perceptions and lifestyle not technical products. When corporations are filling political realm with positive public perceptions and lobbing for profit margins and tax evasions the future is bleak.
I live in the future. Here we hate mobile phones. They are boring slabs with annoying demand of mental attention. The cool kids are using simple open hardware to tap into p2p networks. The old people are recycling 4g tech with 3d printed mods for fun and to save money. Economy is sinking daily and the only option to buy new hardware is to finance it for life, so we avoid to do this.
Seriously now, my last phone is SE.
I am old apple user.
I plan to buy cheap Android phone for Important apps. Actually Apple of now is what I don’t trust or like. I feel that this boring, politically correct, cunning corporation is exactly the opposite of the original Apple idea and ethos. This started years ago with whole Semi-Pro trend, but now is in a full swing, not listening of pro users, milking 30 percent everything, basically is a company for “fashion people” with polished marketing. My money are safe:)
My personal view: If this is Apple - I cannot recognize my self in their target demographics anymore. Those people presenting “awesome, magical, groundbreaking” things are saying boring corporate memos with a slight difference - they are shot cinematically. In a process of watching, another realization manifested itself in my mind. I use Apple products only because of MacOS. But looking at how things are progressing in Cupertino may be is time for transition to Linux. Fitness service? Whats next? Mind reading for family? Put your animoji on your forehead? I miss Steve Jobs badly. Obviously:)
