I think they are pretty serious about high quality software development. There are often questions and concerns from (tech/non-tech) management about build times, compute costs, software product’s performance etc.
PS:I work at ASML.
A lot of people don’t treat home as investment. It has strong emotional value and sense of ownership where you can do (almost) anything you want with your home. There is not so much autonomy with rental properties.
